Josh Jowdy is an associate in the antitrust group in Axinn’s Washington, DC office. His practice focuses on federal and state antitrust law, including both transactions and litigation, with an emphasis on corporate merger clearance. He also counsels businesses navigating competition concerns in forming joint ventures and other collaborative arrangements.

Prior to joining Axinn, Josh worked for a prominent Am Law 100 firm in its antitrust and competition practice group. He received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2017. He graduated with an AB degree in Philosophy from Georgetown University in 2014.

  • Advised University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a world-renowned health care provider and insurer, in its affiliation with Washington Health System.
  • Advised Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., a leading player in interactive entertainment, in its acquisition of The Gearbox Entertainment Company.
  • Advised Cummins Inc., a global power solutions leader, in its acquisition of portions of Faurecia’s commercial vehicle exhaust aftertreatment business in Europe and the United States.
  • Advised Accelera by Cummins, the zero-emissions business unit of Cummins Inc., in the formation of its joint venture (“Amplify Cell Technologies”) with Daimler Truck and PACCAR.
  • Advised Tyson Foods, Inc., one of the world’s largest food companies and a recognized leader in protein, in its acquisition of Williams Sausage Company, Inc.
  • Advised Choice Hotels International, Inc., a leading lodging franchisor, in its proposed acquisition of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Inc.
