Sandhya Taneja is an associate in Axinn’s Antitrust practice group. Her practice focuses on merger analysis, civil litigation, and antitrust counseling and compliance. Sandhya represents both U.S. and international clients in complex antitrust litigation and transactional matters, providing practical and strategic counsel across a range of industries.

Sandhya’s recent experience includes representing Worldpay in its $24.5 billion acquisition by Global Payments and serving as antitrust counsel to Boyd Group Services Inc. in its definitive agreement to acquire Joe Hudson’s Collision Center.
Before joining Axinn, Sandhya clerked for the Honorable Bibi M. Berry in the Montgomery County Circuit Court in Maryland, where she focused on family law and civil and criminal jury trials. Earlier in her career, Sandhya worked with several startups, advising founders on early legal and structural challenges – from drafting operating agreements to developing frameworks that support sustainable growth and scalability.
Sandhya also maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting immigration clients, including Afghan refugees, with asylum matters and supporting family law cases.
Sandhya earned her JD from The George Washington University Law School, where she served as president of the Antitrust Law Association and worked as a research assistant to Professor William Kovacic. She holds a BA in Economics and Business from the University of Maryland.
