ABA 2026 International Law Section Annual Conference

Axinn counsel Laura Onken and associate Sandhya Taneja will speak at the ABA 2026 International Law Section Annual Conference held in Washington, DC. 

On May 12, Laura will speak on the panel “Walking the Tightrope: AI, Blurred Autonomy, and the Future of Competition, Regulation, and IP (CLE)." Panelists will discuss the evolving legal and regulatory challenges posed by AI, including questions of accountability, competition enforcement, intellectual property rights, and the growing role of AI in commercial decision-making.

On May 13, Sandhya, co-chair of the ABA International Law Section Women’s Interest Network (WIN), will moderate a panel examining the tension between universal human rights frameworks and cultural norms, and how to balance cultural diversity with the protection of women’s rights in an evolving global landscape.
