On April 13-15, Axinn partners Lisl Dunlop and Leslie Overton and counsel Carol Liu attended the Health Care Transactions Conference hosted by the American Health Law Association (AHLA). In several panels throughout the conference, health care enforcers from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and State Attorneys General Offices shared their perspectives on health care antitrust enforcement.

John Harkrider and Craig Minerva won a 2026 Concurrences Antitrust Writing Award for their article “Antitrust in a Time of Trade War.” The article was recognized in the Business, Cross-Border category.
Much ink has been spilled over the meaning of “about” when used to characterize an amount or a range recited in a patent claim. Sometimes the patent explicitly defines “about,” sometimes “about” simply means “approximately,” sometimes the scope of “about” is clarified based on arguments made during prosecution to gain allowance, and sometimes a skilled artisan might recognize the scope of “about” based on some constellation of the foregoing and knowledge in the art.
