John Harkrider and Craig Minerva Win 2026 Law360 Distinguished Legal Writing Award

An article by partners John D. Harkrider and Craig D. Minerva was selected for The Burton Foundation’s 2026 “Law360 Distinguished Legal Writing Awards.” This award recognizes outstanding legal writing, with only 20 articles selected annually from submissions by the nation’s top law firms.

John and Craig were honored for their article, “Antitrust in a Time of Trade War,” published in the American Bar Association Antitrust Law Section’s Antitrust Magazine.

Their article explores how global merger control has evolved amid both domestic and international political transitions, shifting enforcement philosophies, and growing trade tensions. The authors analyze how the UK’s pro-growth recalibration, the U.S. pullback from the prior administration’s broad anti-deal posture, the EU’s reception of the Draghi Report, and China’s fluctuating merger control posture in the context of a trade war are collectively redefining where and how global deals face regulatory risk.

Winners will be honored at the Burton Awards ceremony on June 1, 2026, at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
