(NYSE: TMO), the world leader in serving science, on its definitive agreement to sell its microbiology business to Astorg, a leading pan-European private equity firm, for approximately $1.075 billion. The microbiology business provides antimicrobial susceptibility testing and culture media solutions for clinical, pharmaceutical and food safety testing.

Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider LLP today announced the appointment of Rachael Philbin as Chief Innovation Officer, reinforcing the Firm’s continued investment in advanced solutions and technology for legal services delivery. Philbin joins from Proskauer Rose LLP, where she served as Innovation & Transformation Officer.
