Darpan Singh is an associate in Axinn’s intellectual property group. Her practice focuses on patent litigation and food and drug law, with an emphasis on pharmaceuticals.

Darpan received her JD at the University of California, College of the Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where she served as a staff editor and then senior symposium editor at the Hastings Law Journal, co-president of the Hastings Intellectual Property Association, and was a member of UC Hastings Sikh Law Students Association and Women’s Law Society. During law school, she was a Student Associate for the UC Hastings Startup Legal Garage Patent Module and assisted with pro bono legal work for biotech start-up companies looking to build their patent portfolios.

She graduated with honors from Chapman University with a degree in Chemistry and was top 15% of her class at UC Law SF. Darpan was a summer associate with Axinn in 2021.

Experience

  • Representing Google in various federal investigations into their ad tech business in Eastern District of Virginia, Eastern District of Texas, and Southern District of New York.
  • Representing Google in various investigations of its business practices in jurisdictions around the world.
  • Defense of Paragraph IV patent litigation involving a generic drug.
  • Represent Endo in asserting three patents against Nexus’s ready-to-use ephedrine prefilled syringe products.
  • Represented a pro bono client in obtaining a favorable settlement in civil rights claims in Northern District of California.
