ABA 24th Annual Emerging Issues in Healthcare Law Conference

On March 10, Axinn partner Lisl Dunlop spoke on a panel entitled, "Everything Old is New Again: US Antitrust Agencies’ Novel (and Not-so-Novel) Theories of Harm and Their Impact on Healthcare Mergers" at the American Bar Association Health Law Section's 24th Annual Emerging Issues in Healthcare Law Conference, held March 8-11 in San Diego. 

Panelists explored new theories of harm in merger reviews and their impact on the review of health care transactions. Panelists also discussed new policies and procedures at the antitrust agencies and cutting-edge theories the agencies are pushing such as cross-market effects, labor market issues unique to healthcare, and vertical harm/foreclosure.
