Axinn Represented Tufts Health Plan in Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Merger

Axinn represented Tufts Health Plan, the second-largest health insurer in Massachusetts, in its merger with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, the third-largest insurer, in a deal announced on August 14, 2019. The new entity will be one of the region’s largest health insurers, with nearly 2.4 million members in Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. The deal closed on January 4, 2021. The Axinn team was led by partners Lisl Dunlop and Jeny Maier.
