As a trial attorney at the Federal Trade Commission in the Bureau of Competition Technology Enforcement Unit, Shishene helped drive the AI workstream for the agency’s investigation into a large technology company, helped author significant portions of the FTC’s 6(b) report analyzing the industrial organization of the AI industry, and participated in the Meta antitrust enforcement that went to a month-long trial. Shishene also leverages trial experience as a former assistant federal public defender to represent clients in high-stakes litigation matters.
Before attending Yale Law School, where she served as an Articles Editor on the Yale Law Journal focusing on law and economics scholarship, Shishene was a business analyst at McKinsey & Company where she worked on post-merger management projects in the healthcare and medical devices industry. She clerked for the Hon. Robert A. Katzmann in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, as well as the Hon. Jed S. Rakoff in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
