With more than two decades of combined government, in-house, and private practice experience, Doreen Manchester brings a strategic, cross-sector perspective to complex eDiscovery matters. Her practice focuses on guiding clients through the full spectrum of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), including the identification, collection, processing, review, production, and presentation of electronically stored information.

Before joining Axinn, Doreen served in the Office of Chief Counsel at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), where she established and led the agency’s first eLitigation section. In that role, she oversaw some of the DEA’s most high-profile and data-intensive matters. She was also appointed to the U.S. Department of Justice’s eLitigation Advisory Council and served as the DEA’s litigation Accountability Officer.
Doreen’s previous experience includes time as Deputy General Counsel for a leading agriculture trade association, where she advised on legal, regulatory, and litigation issues impacting the food and beverage, agrotechnology, chemicals, sustainability, and pharmaceutical sectors. In private practice, she has represented clients in a broad array of matters, including multidistrict litigation, class actions, civil litigation brought by federal agencies, state attorneys general investigations, and Congressional inquiries.
She earned her JD from American University Washington College of Law, where she served as an articles editor for the American University Law Review. Doreen is a frequent speaker on eDiscovery and legal technology issues.
