Axinn Obtains Favorable Settlement for Pro Bono Client
March 12, 2019
Axinn obtained a favorable settlement for its pro bono client, a former artistic director at a D.C. theater company, in a case brought against him in D.C. Superior Court by the theater company and its president alleging that he had tortiously interfered with their business relations with a Baltimore-area radio station. By pursuing counterclaims for violation of a prior settlement agreement and engaging in a wide array of motion practice, the Axinn team successfully convinced Plaintiffs (represented by Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer) to drop the suit and settle the case prior to the start of fact depositions and expert discovery. The Axinn team, referred by Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts, was led by Ricky Camposanto and Rheanna Hafner played an integral role.
