Axinn Named a “Legal Lion” for Federal Circuit Patent Win
January 18, 2019
Axinn was named a “Legal Lion” in the Law360 Weekly Verdict roundup for its Federal Circuit win on behalf of Alvogen Pine Brook LLC. On January 14, 2019, the Federal Circuit upheld a lower court ruling that cleared Axinn’s client Alvogen of patent infringement. The decision affirmed Axinn’s trial court victory, in which a Delaware Federal District court ruled that Alvogen’s generic version of the colitis medication Uceris® did not infringe a patent owned by Cosmo Technologies Ltd. Alvogen was represented by Axinn partners Jason Murata, who argued the case before the Federal Circuit, and Matthew Becker, who tried the case before the Delaware District Court.
