AHLA Antitrust in Health Care Conference

Axinn partner Lisl Dunlop will speak during the American Health Law Association’s Antitrust in Health Care conference on a virtual panel titled “Merge or Bust: Acquisitions of Failing and Flailing Hospitals” on October 8 from 2:30–3:30 p.m. ET.

The session will examine the heightened antitrust scrutiny surrounding acquisitions of financially distressed hospitals and explore the “failing firm defense” in merger review, including key considerations under case law and the merger guidelines, recent examples, and practical approaches to developing a sustainable defense.
