On January 19, Axinn partner and Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer Leslie Overton spoke on a panel entitled, "Antitrust Scrutiny – Understanding Risk for M&A" at Practicing Law Institute's Mergers & Acquisitions 2023 Program held January 18-19 in New York and virtually.

Panelists discussed the current antitrust regulatory landscape focusing on issues that commonly arise in regard to the approval process for transactions, including how the Biden FTC and Antitrust Division evaluate transactions and determine whether to challenge them, sectors that are under more scrutiny and the legal and economic theories agencies are using to evaluate them, developments in the merger review process in the US, and considerations relating to multi-jurisdictional review.
