Axinn associate James Goldfeier presented a webinar hosted by The Knowledge Group entitled, "The Hart-Scott Rodino Act: What You Should Know." Panelists provided the audience with practical strategies and tips to prepare for and comply with the The Hart-Scott Rodino (HSR) Act. The HSR Act and rules require parties to certain mergers and acquisitions to submit premerger notification filings to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Department of Justice before consummating the transaction. The HSR Act also accords those agencies the right to impose substantial penalties in the event that parties to a transaction fail to comply with the Act’s provisions.
