Axinn partners Michael Keeley and Tiffany Rider spoke at CompLaw's 31st Annual Advanced EU Competition Law Conference, held November 21-23 in Brussels.
On November 21, Mike spoke on a panel entitled, "A Look to the US." Panelists discussed the proposals of a US antitrust reform bill, recent cases in the tech sector such as Apple vs Epic, and how the US is reacting to the EU's approach to dominance in the tech sector.
On November 22, Tiffany spoke on a panel entitled, "Competition Concerns in Labour Markets." Panelists reviewed the issues at stake, US developments, approaches to no-poach agreements in Europe, and collective bargaining. Panelists also discussed if the new horizontal guidelines make it easier to prosecute cases in labor markets and what shape successful cases in Europe are likely to take.
