ABA 71st Annual Section of Antitrust Law Spring Meeting

Axinn partners Leslie Overton and Koren Wong-Ervin and associates Lindsey Strang and Andrea Rivers spoke at the American Bar Association's 71st Annual Section of Antitrust Law Spring Meeting in Washington, DC.

On March 28, Andrea Rivers spoke on a panel entitled, "Pathways to Leadership." This panel explored strategies to develop a career as a leader in antitrust and consumer protection law. 

On March 29, Leslie Overton spoke on a panel entitled, "Merger Trial Tactics: What Works, What Doesn't." Panelists shared their tips for successfully navigating a fast-paced merger litigation environment and best practices for discovery and trial.

On March 29, Lindsey Strang moderated a round-table discussion entitled, "Career Conversations: Coffee with a Judge." Participants discussed their experience on the bench, career trajectories, and advice for young lawyers. 

On March 29, Koren Wong-Ervin spoke on a panel entitled, "Not Your Average SEP and FRAND Panel." This panel took the form of a mock licensing negotiation between an implementer and an innovator to explore panelists' different viewpoints and agreements on how to enforce fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) commitments and balance the interests of standard essential patent owners against downstream innovators.
