Axinn Named Firm of the Year by GCR
April 5, 2016
Axinn announced that it was named “Firm of the Year – Americas” by Global Competition Review. The firm was honored for being global lead counsel in its representation of Ball Corp. in its $6.8 billion acquisition of Rexam, creating the largest aluminum can beverage company in the world. It also acted as global lead counsel for Dell in its proposed $67 billion acquisition of EMC, which is the largest technology deal in history.
“It is such an incredible honor to be recognized with this prestigious award from GCR, the world’s leading antitrust and competition law journal,” said founding partner Steve Axinn. “Led by John Harkrider and John Briggs, our team took on some of the most significant transactions and litigation matters of 2015 and we are proud to be recognized for our impact on the antitrust space.”
Axinn was shortlisted for two additional awards: “Matter of the Year” and John Harkrider, co-chair of the firm’s Antitrust practice, for “Lawyer of the Year.”
