Axinn Wins Antitrust Clearance for Movie Gallery’s Acquisition of Hollywood Video

Axinn acted as antitrust counsel to Movie Gallery in its successful acquisition of Hollywood Entertainment. Our engagement included representation of Movie Gallery in avoiding the issuance of a Second Request from the Federal Trade Commission and in presenting arguments and evidence to the FTC in connection with its investigation of a rival bid from Blockbuster which was abandoned by Blockbuster once it became clear that the FTC intended to commence litigation to enjoin Blockbuster.
