Axinn Partner Scott Eisman Selected as Rising Star in New York Law Journal’s 2026 New York Legal Awards
July 13, 2026
Axinn litigation partner Scott Eisman has been named a Rising Star by the New York Law Journal. The awards honor those whose dedication, innovation, and leadership have profoundly impacted the legal profession across the state over the previous year.
Eisman leverages his deep government experience to advise on complex commercial litigation, appeals, and high-stakes investigations for financial institutions and major corporations. His current matters include representing xAI and X in a closely watched lawsuit against Apple and OpenAI relating to conduct in the generative AI space, and representing X in an antitrust lawsuit against the National Music Publishers’ Association and several major music publishers in a lawsuit alleging a conspiracy to violate the antitrust laws. Over the course of his career, Eisman has also defended companies, including Africa’s largest telecommunications company, against claims under the Antiterrorism Act litigation and has defended multiple public companies in securities lawsuits, helping to secure the dismissal of claims against companies such as 3M, Morgan Stanley, and Credit Suisse.
Earlier in his career, Eisman served as an Assistant Solicitor General in the New York State Office of the Attorney General. During his time there, he successfully represented New York State in a number of high-profile appeals, including in the U.S. Supreme Court.
Eisman will be recognized in a special edition of the New York Law Journal this fall and honored on September 3 at the New York Legal Awards event in Manhattan. To view the entire list of rising stars and finalists, please visit the New York Law Journal.
