Axinn Partner Craig Reiser Named a Rising Star by the New York Law Journal
August 9, 2023
Axinn partner Craig Reiser has been named a Rising Star by the New York Law Journal. Judged by an independent panel of experts, this competitive award recognizes the New York legal community’s emerging leaders.
Craig is a go-to-litigator who represents clients in an array of high-profile and high-value matters. He is lead counsel for chess Grandmaster Magnus Carlsen in a headline-gripping action brought by Hans Niemann against Carlsen and four other defendants for at least $100 million, and recently secured a dismissal of all claims and a with-prejudice dismissal of Niemann’s antitrust claims. Craig is also leading the defense of a global pharmaceuticals company in two of the largest multidistrict litigations in the United States, one involving antitrust claims and the other involving the opioid crisis, and has successfully negotiated favorable resolutions for dozens of clients to help avoid the expense of protracted litigation.
Craig also maintains an active pro bono practice that includes federal appellate representation of indigent clients in civil and immigration matters.
All Rising Star honorees were recognized during the New York Legal Awards ceremony on October 4 in New York.
