New Frontiers of Antitrust – 16th Annual International Conference of Concurrences Review

On September 10, Axinn antitrust practice chair Mike Keeley will speak on the "Regulated Markets, Competition and Competitiveness" panel at Concurrences' New Frontiers of Antitrust Conference. 

Panelists will explore the EU’s evolving strategy to strengthen long-term competitiveness through key policy reforms and new instruments, including: 

• A modernized state aid framework under the Clean Industrial Deal to boost renewables, decarbonization, and net-zero manufacturing; 
  
• The proposed European Competitiveness Fund designed to support strategic technologies and ensure fair competition across member states; 
  
• Tools like the Competitiveness Compass, which will track progress in areas such as the single market, productivity, and strategic autonomy; and
  
• Ongoing merger guideline reviews and efforts to streamline regulation further underscore the EU’s commitment to a more dynamic, innovation-driven economy.
