On September 11, Axinn partner Jason Murata participated in a panel entitled, "Diversity & Inclusion Today" at The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property's 2022 World Congress, held September 10-13 in San Francisco.
Panelists explored developments and steps taken in the intellectual property world regarding diversity and inclusion ("D&I") such as education on unconscious biases, increasing diversity of recruitment teams, applying quota, the appointment of a D&I officer, and more. Panelists also discussed the impact of not taking such steps, including consequences in the "war for talent."
