Axinn partner John Tanski presented a webinar titled “Your Company Has Been Sued in the U.S.: What to Do in the First 10 Days” with Hiroyuki Tezuka and Azusa Saito of Nishimura & Asahi.
The presentation was delivered to an audience of more than 200 Japanese lawyers and executives and focused on the immediate issues that arise for a foreign company that has been sued in the U.S., including issues like ensuring document preservation, receiving and waiving service of process, engaging U.S. counsel, preserving privilege, strategizing initial responses to a complaint, preparing for discovery, and counseling executives who are not familiar with the evolution of U.S. lawsuits.
