Keeping Japanese Companies Out of U.S. Courts: Contesting U.S. Jurisdiction and Dealing with U.S. Subsidiary Litigation
February 24, 2021

On February 24 and 26, Axinn’s John Tanski and Nishimura & Asahi’s Azusa Saito co-presented a two-part seminar titled “Keeping Japanese Companies Out of U.S. Courts: Contesting U.S. Jurisdiction and Dealing with U.S. Subsidiary Litigation” to an audience of Japanese lawyers and executives. The seminar focused on practical approaches to minimizing a foreign parent company’s exposure to U.S. personal jurisdiction through its own actions and through its interactions with its U.S.-based subsidiaries.
