Axinn Promotes Jeny Maier and Jason Murata

Jeny Maier, a member of the firm’s Antitrust practice group, and Jason Murata, a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group have been promoted to partner.

“We are thrilled that Jeny and Jason will be joining the partnership,” says Matthew Becker, Managing Partner of the firm. “They are incredibly bright and effective lawyers and are valued by our clients. We look forward to their continued contributions to Axinn and to the legal community.”

Jeny Maier, based in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, has significant experience advising parties to large M&A transactions on international antitrust notification requirements and substantive competitive issues. She also has considerable experience assisting clients with responding to civil and criminal antitrust investigations, and defending related class-action litigation. In 2017, Maier was named a Future Leader by Who’s Who Legal Competition.

Based in the firm’s Hartford office, Jason Murata focuses his practice primarily on patent and trade secret litigation, with a particular emphasis in the mechanical, chemical and pharmaceutical arts, including patent litigation and consultation arising under Section 505(j) of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.

Both Maier and Murata are thought leaders in their respective fields, with numerous publications and speaking engagements to their credit. They are also active members of the American Bar Association and other legal/professional societies.
