GCR Nominates Axinn for Firm of the Year and Litigator of the Year
February 17, 2021

Global Competition Review has nominated Axinn for two GCR Awards for excellence in 2020.

Axinn earned a nomination for "Firm of the Year - Americas" due to its work on some of today’s most noteworthy matters, including representing Google in investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice and State of Texas; Thermo Fisher in its proposed $12.5 billion acquisition of QIAGEN NV; Tufts Health Plan in its merger with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care; Tyson Foods in multiple treble damages class action claims; and Alvogen in the Generic Pharmaceuticals Antitrust Pricing Litigation.

Axinn partner Rachel Adcox earned a second nomination for" Litigator of the Year" for her work as lead counsel on several major class action claims and multi-district antitrust litigation cases, including her representation of Tyson Foods in multiple major treble-damage class action litigations and regulatory investigations alleging industry-wide conspiracies to raise the prices of broiler chickens, pork, turkey, and beef, as well as a conspiracy to depress broiler grower pay. She is also lead counsel defending Alvogen Inc. in the sprawling Generic Drugs MDL, a suit alleging participation in an industry-wide conspiracy to raise prices of generic medications through the allocation of markets.

The finalists were chosen by Global Competition Review’s editorial team and GCR readers will decide the winners through an online vote. The winners will be announced in a series of special reports that GCR will begin publishing in April.
