Axinn Promotes Daniel Oakes and Craig Reiser to Partner, Kenina Lee and David Pearl to Counsel

Axinn announced today that Daniel Oakes, a member in the firm’s Antitrust group, and Craig Reiser, a member in the firm’s Litigation group, have been promoted to Partner. In addition, Kenina Lee and David Pearl, both members in the firm’s Antitrust group, have been promoted to Counsel. The promotions are effective as of January 1, 2021.

Dan Oakes is based in the Washington, D.C. office and focuses his practice on criminal antitrust investigation, antitrust litigation, merger analysis, and antitrust counseling. He has represented domestic and foreign corporate clients in international cartel investigations before the DOJ, the Canadian Competition Bureau, and European Commission. Dan also has significant experience leading merger, civil non-merger and other internal investigations.

Craig Reiser, based in the New York office, litigates complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts across the country. His practice has focused on defending global law firms in connection with malpractice and breach of duty claims, and defending treble-damage antitrust class actions. Craig has also defended numerous financial services firms, including in securities litigation arising from the financial crisis.

Kenina Lee is based in the Washington, D.C. office and focuses her practice on litigating major class action and multi-district antitrust cases in federal courts, with wide experience representing both domestic and foreign clients. She also provides antitrust counseling and represents clients before the FTC and DOJ.

David Pearl, based in the San Francisco office, focuses on antitrust law, particularly merger review, government investigations, and counseling. He has guided clients through all stages of regulatory review of cross-border mergers and other large-scale transactions. Prior to joining Axinn, David served as a senior political appointee at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
