"Patent Due Diligence - A Good Business Practice"
September 14, 2011

On September 14, 2011, Chad Landmon presented on “Patent Due Diligence – A Good Business Practice” at the Stem Cells USA and Regenerative Medicine Congress in Boston.  One of the primary goals of the conference was to promote the discussion of commercial development opportunities for life sciences and biotech companies, as well as investors, in various stem cell and regenerative medicine therapies.  Axinn was the only law firm with a presence at the conference, and took advantage of the opportunity to meet with representatives from several companies throughout the week and discuss patent due diligence practices and regulatory issues specific to stem cells.  Representatives from a number of these companies have already contacted Axinn colleagues and expressed an interest in pursuing follow-up activities with the firm, making the conference a promising marketing event for Axinn.  Attendees from Axinn included Matt Becker, Stacie Ropka, Ti Chen, Nike Agman, Tara Rahemba and Shawn Blackburn.
