Lauren Albert Comments on U.S. FTC Antitrust Action to Reuters News

With many large corporations already taking heed of the stepped up antitrust enforcement under President Obama, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission is likely to receive fresh nominations from the President in the coming week for two lawyers with the proper credentials for further antitrust action. It’s expected that the President will announce Julie Brill and Edith Ramirez will round out the FTC Commission in the coming weeks. Lauren Albert, partner in the antitrust practice at Axinn, mentioned she expects to see the stepped up activity continuing, saying, “I know the people they’ve brought in and they’re very active and sophisticated antitrust lawyers. I expect to see more activity. I don’t mean that’s a bad thing.”
